About LWFWC
The History Of Living Word Family Worship Center, Inc.
“God showed me in a vision there would be a church in this community that would be second to none. It would be filled and there would be a great number of young people in attendance praising and worshipping God. Many that are here would not live to see it, but yet some would and one person in the room would be the pastor of that church.”
Those were the words from the Lord as prophetically spoken by pastor and founder Lillian Wright of Wright’s Tabernacle over 30 years ago in a service with her congregation. As a member of the congregation, a young mother with her small children sat listening attentively. This young lady had no idea of the journey the Lord was about to have her embark upon. For some reason, unknown to her, she could never forget those words of prophecy. She did not realize the Lord was speaking directly to her. Shortly after the Lord planted those words as a seed within her spirit, the adversary tried to stop the plan of God for her life. She left the church for a time, but a desperate need in her family for reconciliation, healing and deliverance and a hunger for God motivated her to search for a place to fellowship. The Holy Spirit led her to Faith Fellowship Mission, that later became Faith Fellowship International Center, Inc.(F.F.I.C.) in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
In 1978, she became an active faithful member of F.F.I.C. She witnessed God’s faithfulness as He reconciled, restored, healed and delivered her family. The precious calling and anointing on her life became obvious in 1980 as she became a licensed evangelist and a member of the Executive Board. She was faithful to the call in which the Lord used her effectively to minister to those in the community and surrounding areas. In 1990, the Lord once again advanced her in the kingdom; she became the Assistant Pastor in which her loyal and faithful service to the Lord and the ministry was manifested for twenty-seven years. With the awesome leading of the Holy Spirit, she attended Jameson Bible Institute, majoring in Theology. To further her education in general studies, she attended Montgomery County Community College and also graduated as Valedictorian in the School of Biblical Studies of Gary Whetstone Worldwide Ministries. In 2003, Pastor Sims received her Bachelors degree in Religious Education from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. In 2005, after twenty-seven years of faithful service, through divine intervention, prayer and fasting, the Lord confirmed the release of Pastor Deborah D. Sims from F.F.I.C.
In just two weeks time a church was immediately birthed. A group of people assembled as Pastor Deborah D. Sims, found herself teaching “faith” to a generation that refused to quit. This awesome prophetic move of God as spoken over 30 years ago was manifested on March 6, 2005 at the home of Elder Sidney & Minister Ellen Sims in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Pastor Sims encouraged the people attending to seek the heart of God through faith, prayer and fasting. Living Word Family Worship Center (L.W.F.W.C.) in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania was established and spiritually confirmed that day as the Holy Spirit gave purpose and insight from the Father’s heart for ministry. In less than five months, the Lord has blessed the ministry to move from a house into a spacious sanctuary equipped with the necessary components to further the ministry’s mission. We are presently located at 875 Fox Chase Road, Jenkintown, PA, sharing the facility with Ukrainian American Christian Church. God’s purpose for L.W.F.W.C. is to bring reconciliation, healing and deliverance to every family and equip them to be “A Do It Generation”.
Pastor Deborah D. Sims not only serves as the Senior Pastor and Founder of Living Word Family Worship Center, Inc., but has conducted leadership conferences in which she shared new insights on perfecting praise and worship, a dynamic workshop leader for Women’s Conferences and the keynote speaker for Revival services held in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Louisiana where she received a citation from the mayor and a “Key to the City”. She received special recognition awards for outstanding community services for youth and was awarded citations from the House and Senate of Pennsylvania, N.A.A.C.P. and Woman of the Year award.
